Solar Panel Case Study - East-west system

These Kingspan Renewables Thermomax DF evacuated tube collectors were installed on east and west-facing roofs. Each collector has its own pump to deliver heat to the solar cylinder. The solar cylinder is a 300 litre DPS Heat Bank thermal store which also receives heat from a wood burning stove with back boiler. The heat energy in the thermal store (accumulator) is used for hot water as well as low temperature under floor heating.
