Solar Panel Case Study - PV installation process

 

This is a typical PV system being installed on a detached house in Hove.

8 x 185W Sharp mono crystalline PV modules combine to give a 1.48 kWp ystem. The DC electricity is fed to a SMA SB1200 inverter, in this case located in the garage next to the distribution board.

The Total Generation Meter is located inside the property for ease of access for the FIT readings.

Smart Energy Guarantee (SEG)

The SEG is a new scheme whereby you are paid for electricity you export to the grid. Your electricity supplier will need to install an export meter or a smart meter in order to take accurate readings.
